MPG Stat

Fuel economy tracking for engineers, hypermilers, and data nerds.
Built on SPC principles. A little whimsy included.

How do I log a fillup? +
Tap the add button on the main screen and enter your odometer reading and gallons filled. MPG Stat calculates your fuel economy automatically and updates your XmR chart.
What is an XmR chart? +
An XmR (Individual and Moving Range) chart is a Statistical Process Control tool that plots your individual MPG values alongside their moving range. The natural process limits help you distinguish real changes in fuel economy from normal variation.
What are the natural process limits? +
Natural process limits (NPLs) are calculated from your data and represent the expected range of variation for your vehicle. A data point outside the limits is a signal — something has genuinely changed, not just varied randomly.
Does MPG Stat collect my data? +
No. MPG Stat stores all your data locally on your device. No accounts, no servers, no data collection. Your fillup history is yours.
Can I export my data? +
